Meet The Woman Behind The Sewing Machine
Hi, I’m Beth — the heart, hands, and fighter behind Sewing From the Hart.
This business was born at my kitchen table in 2016, when my son needed a weighted blanket, and the ones on the market were just too expensive. So, I made one myself. That first blanket wasn’t just fabric — it was love, determination, and a mother’s will to help her child.
Word spread, and soon friends, family, and local customers were asking for blankets. But everything changed the day someone asked me to create a memory bear from their loved one’s clothing. That first bear showed me the profound comfort that a handmade item can bring — turning grief into something tangible, something to hold onto.
Since then, I’ve grown my business into a space where memories are transformed into keepsakes: memory bears, dogs, elephants, whales, and more. Adding embroidery took it all to the next level, allowing me to personalize each piece and make it truly one of a kind.
But in 2024, life threw me a curveball: I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Did it slow me down? Maybe for a moment. But it didn’t stop me. Through surgeries, chemo, radiation, and recovery, I kept creating — because this work became part of my own healing. Every stitch reminded me I was still here, still strong, still capable of bringing love and beauty into the world.
Today, Sewing From the Hart isn’t just a shop. It’s a survivor’s story, a mom’s mission, and a handmade promise to deliver comfort, love, and resilience, stitched into every piece.
Thank you for trusting me with your memories — it’s an honor I carry close to my heart.
