Meet The Woman Behind The Sewing Machine

When I first started my business I was a mother and wife looking for ways to help my son sleep. He needed a weighted blanket, but they were expensive, and as a busy mom, I couldn't afford one. So, I decided to make one myself. It turned out to be an excellent solution, and my son slept soundly with the blanket.

My family and friends soon heard about my success, and they started asking me to make them weighted blankets too. I realized there was a demand for affordable and quality weighted blankets, and I started making them for local customers. That's how my business journey started in 2016.

In the beginning, my business was just a small operation, and I made the blankets from my home. However, as the demand grew, I decided to take my business to the next level by opening a shop on Etsy. This helped me to reach a wider audience, and soon I was shipping blankets to different parts of the country.

In 2019, a local customer asked me to make a memory bear for her out of her loved one's clothing. This was a new challenge for me, but I accepted it, and the result was a beautiful memory bear that brought comfort to the customer. I realized that there was a market for such products, and I decided to add memory bears to my Etsy shop.

Soon, my memory bears became popular, and I received more orders for them. That's when I decided to expand my product line and add memory dogs. I loved the idea of transforming people's memories into something tangible and comforting.

In 2021, I added an embroidery machine to my shop, which allowed me to personalize the memory bears and memory dogs. This was a game-changer as it allowed my customers to make their bears even more special and unique.

Today, my shop has grown significantly, and my most popular products are memory bears. I've also added other personalized items like aprons, which have been a big hit too.

Looking back, I'm grateful for the journey that started with a need to help my son sleep. It's been an amazing experience to be able to provide comfort and solace to people through my products. As a mom, wife, and businesswoman, I couldn't be more proud of what I've achieved, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.
